First Grade Student/Parent Game Day

Students and parents worked together on reading expository text to create their own fun reading games!

First grade students at Chavez worked very hard on Friday 3-13! They were showing that they have become proficient at reading expository text by working with their parents to read and follow multi-step directions. The directions described how to create two different games that require reading leveled text to advance and score points. The soccer game proved to be EXTREMELY popular! The next game day will be in the April-May time frame. The exact dates will be announced.
